IOLM was at 3%. 2 qts. makeup oil added. Based on the fuel dilution numbers this last interval was 5W-30. Prior changes were 5W-20.

5W-20 is a fuel economy oil. CAFE money/fines. Back in the 1980s and 1990s I constantly went to continuing automotive education classes to keep up with the technology and company representatives from GM, Ford and Chrysler lectured on emissions controls and CAFE standards. There are people that post other wise here but I guess I didn't read the articles they did.

The variation from each UOA is all within expected normal values, but you certainly gotta like the 1ppm/1k miles on this last load!
Clearly the 3% OLM value is conservative; that oil can have gone a lot further.
The DI results in higher fuel, over the older MPI versions, but you still have to love the overall performance and wear of the Coy motors; they all do well!

Agreed, but I'm not comfortable going longer than 10k without going under the truck and inspecting it. As long as I'm under there I might as well change the oil and filter so I can get a used oil sample.

Great report but it thinned out to a 20 (not a huge deal cuzz wear metals are low) and what's up with the FD pattern?

Once you're out of warranty, I encourage you to experiment, if only for the fun and knowledge of doing longer OCIs. It helps build add to our database!

You can always consider getting a Fumoto (or similar) valve for samples; that way you can still get "under the truck" and enjoy looking around, and pull a sample, without having to change the oil until it's actually time to do so as determined by the wear rates.
