It looks like we are being offered a 2017 Macan S with 28k miles. Some friend's elderly parents are moving into a home and are getting rid of it. The price looks to be very good and knowing the owners helps as well. Any opinions about this vehicle? we already have 3 other cars to handle a wide swath of purposes for us, but this would be my wife's "middle age crisis" vehicle. Looking at some videos, fluid and filter maintenance is completely doable at home along with brakes and basic maintenance. I would love an owner's manual in PDF if anyone knows where to find that.

Color me jealous!

Are you up for sharing your price? These are excellent vehicles, but like everything from Germany, thrive when operated by maintenance enthusiasts and the inverse. Especially like that you are getting a super low mileage version.... the vehicle has not had a chance for things to go wrong!

Lets just say, price wise, it's less than a base RAV4 would cost new. Yes, the low mileage is the selling point. I love cars and this one will be as over-maintained as the others in our fleet. Getting excited about changing the transfer case fluid (seems to be important to change often) already...weird, I know. Looks like it will take 0w40 castrol from my stash.

What color is it? Any pics?

This is one of Porsche vehicles that is positioned to get more market share & it seems to be paying off. I see these everywhere these days but also it's an "SUV" of sorts & obviously why they launched the product for the US market. If you can afford & use it then go for it but getting it at a "Discount" really serves no purpose if you need to turn around & sell it at a loss due to it being "an extra vehicle" but it sounds like the wife will use it so then...what are you waiting for?

Can you get a copy of the factory service manual for these? Not Chilton or Haynes but the real deal. Is it a subscription where you can download the PDFs & put a manual together, download all at one time, or what?

I didn't know about he timing cover, but did know about the transfer case. It's fall service would include an oil change and transfer case fluid. How can I check for the timing cover leak while looking it over?
