So the dealer put 5w-20 rather than the specified 5w-30 (which I knew from the invoice) but it still did OK. I did a lot of towing with this in summer traffic so I am impressed. I now have Edge 0w40 in there which has been proven in DI turbos and did well in my 335 so I expect the next UOA to be a good one.

Comment: Metals and silicon have improved by leaps and bounds in this second sample from your Expedition's V-6. Aluminum and copper are now within a normal range for wear, although we wouldn't be surprised if they decreased even more next time. Silicon's still a bit high, but that element tends to take a while to wash out (and it stated at a whopping 261 ppm!). No excess fuel dilution or other harmful contamination turned up and the TBN was still strong at 3.6. This was Motorcraft's 5W/20 oil (note the barium marker) and it did a good job for you.
