Latest UOA below. This oil was run during the winter months here in MA (prob could have gone down to a lighter weight, but had the oil changed at the dealership). Oil filter used was a FL910S. This sample saw a mix of short trips + highway miles, no real hard / track usage on this sample. Surprised to see the viscosity hold up, was expecting it to drop like the Factory fill. Even more convinced that the FF on these cars is not 5W50 Motorcraft now.

As some might now, the RS has a known headgasket issue, so the main purpose for this UOA was to check for elevated potassium / sodium within this sample. Oil replaced with Mobil 1 0W40, prior 2 UOAs were with Castrol 0W40.
Appreciate any feedback.

For a 50 grade oil, I wouldn’t say the viscosity held up. It’s not even a 40 weight at 12cst. The Castrol has the best wear numbers and TBN retention. Interested to see how the M1 does. You may also consider M1 15W-50. It is a STOUT oil that I’m sure will hold viscosity better than the ones you’ve used do to the lower viscosity spread / thicker base oil (less VII). Can be had at Walmart for cheap like the others.

An amazing oil; goes into the engine as a 50-weight, comes out as a 30-weight. And it wasn't even run hard.
Beats me how Ford can continue to sell this weak sauce for their high performance engines.

It had a lot of fuel in it but that’s to be expected, given the engine, climate, and nature of the trips. That had a lot to do with the viscosity loss. So did the highly VII-loaded oil.

Wear rate is trending down.
Wondering if there was formulation change with current MC 5W50 with higher Mo and Boron?...
or FF wasn't a MC 5W50 ?
Anyway, Edge 0W40 was robust.

Almost looks like FF was Edge 0W-40 with that titanium showing up.
