One long road trip to 100 Acre Wood Rally that involved very dusty roads. No makeup oil added. I did swap to a Perrin foam filter for the last 1000 miles of this OCI. Curious to see how well it does. Blackstone makes a note in the drop in Silicon from the original OCI to this change but that it is too early to see effectiveness.

Blackstone Notes:
We're having a hard time getting a good look at air filtration effectiveness for a couple of reasons.
Dirt looks the same as harmless sealers in a spectral exam, and some of the silicon is left from initial
wear-in. Red Line also uses some silicon in their oil as additive, typically around 10 ppm. We're inclined to
say the air filter is doing a good job since silicon came down a lot from last time, but there is a little bit of
uncertainty in saying that for the reasons outlined above. Copper and iron are shaping up nicely, and the
TBN was strong. 6,000 miles on the oil should work well.

Very early in the life of this engine to discern between true issues and break-in noise. Great car, congrats.

With a new engine unless you suspect a major problem you are just wasting your money doing a uoa with all the break in and assemble crud

Assembly lube.

Less than 0.5% fuel? Doesn't this oil start out over 11.0CST?

Regardless, good report. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Assembly lube.

It's not all assembly lube based on some correspondence that one of our menbers had with Idemitsu.
