Daily driven 7 mile each way to work, occasional long trips, multiple redlines and high revs due to the short gears and turbo lag (when warm of course). Flashpoint did a lot better here than in my Direct injection m4 with the same GC 0w40. Also running a catch can as the only mod, stock everything else.

As expected from an EJ25T motor, known oil shredders from what I've seen at least. However better than my M4 like I mentioned which sheared / fuel diluted the same GC 0w40 down to 10.27 @ 100c w/ a flashpoint of 380F in 1200 less miles than the STI used the oil for. But for the STI the 0w40 seems like a good oil to use on 3500 mile drain intervals. 20-25$ oil per oil change is hard to beat!
Did you stay with Castrol in M4 or you moved?
Subaru 5w30. Yea it was a bit thin.
Running 0w40 ravenol SSL with the old LL01 certs.. curious to see if it lowers flashpoint similarly. Will see and share whenever that happens.
