Today I changed the oil filter in the 2016 Charger 3.6L after running 5,000 miles with High Performance Lubricants HDEO 5w-30. There is 65,000 miles total on the Charger, 10,000 miles on the oil, and 5,000 (second change) on the oil filter. The HPL oil is still cleaning some deposits off the internals, but not as much as the first filter change:

I will leave the HPL in for another 5,000 miles, change the filter and sample to determine suitability to continue to 20,000. Very happy with the cleaning from the HPL AN and esters.

I need that HPL in the Acura TL I have...

Noticeable varnish from what I can see from the cap. Not like super bad but definitely noticed.

Or maybe I should get the HPL cleaner for it.

Good job thus far Wayne.

Is this a 2 door coupe ?

I ran the Cleaner first in my Crown Vic, same scenario visible varnish from the cap, it did seem to lighten in color over the 5k mile OCI and the oil drained was a very odd chocolate milk and deep mahogany red mixture, can’t say ive ever seen anything like that on previous changes. The current fill is HPL CK4 15w40 and I’m hoping it, like the other oils, contains plenty of esters to give me that like new appearance on the internals.

Thanks for sharing. What is the reason for choosing the HDEO flavor of their 5W-20 instead of the PCMO?

That is a very, very good oil there.

I can't wait to get a confirmed full sump of it in mine! Soon!
