I actually wanted to run a 2 year drain interval because of the low miles on the oil but decided just to pull it after 1.5years. Looks like 2 years would be no issue at all. I never used Ravenol before so was afraid of possible oxidation but looks like it did fine.
Background: The car typically only gets roughly 100 miles per month, about 20 miles each time, and always driven to full warm temp (roughly 210-220F). However this car does see numerous canyon drives, the high rpms, and handful of wide open throttle runs each drive. It's basically my weekend "fun car".
This Ravenol is circa 2018 when 0w40 SSL was still LL01 rated. I drained and refilled with 0w40 SSL LL01 again, but will either go to Ravenol 5w40 VST LL01 or just use more Castrol 0w40 because of price (and the fact i've used Castrol 0w40/0w30 for 20 years with no issue).
