I went factory fill to 2500km, Then I took to dealer (They said they use Shell oil) to about 7000km, (4500km OCI) then I ran valvoline white bottle to 12800 km (5800km OCI) before switching to this amsoil OCI (10,765km on OCI) Now at 23,664km

Blackstone mentioned that Sodium was up and Amsoil doesn't use sodium (Possible coolant leak). I was wondering if Valvoline Conventional uses sodium? I imagine there was a quart or so in the oil cooler that mixed with the amsoil.

Most 1500's do not have a factory oil cooler. Did you make certain you do?

And as stated above, that sodium may not be what Blackstoned thinks...

I had a 2005 Ram 3500 Cummins 5.9 liter and the only oil sample I sent on that engine came back great except they thought I had a water leak. That rather spooked me and I ended up trading the truck as I really did not need it anymore and did not want to incur a large repair bill, but I have run into the guy that bought it and he loves it. He runs the [censored] out of it and has never had an engine issue with it. I ran Royal Purple 15w-40 diesel oil in it when I had it.
