This UOA is getting close to what I'm looking for. Fuel dilution has decreased from 4.1% in 3900 miles to 3.3% in 6000 miles. The oil has lost about 20% of its virgin viscosity, but it is in the upper half of the 30 grade. Iron wear rate has slowed down from 1.8 ppm/1000 miles to 1.5 ppm/1000 miles. I could probably go a full 7500 mile OCI on M1 5w40 European Car Formula. Unfortunately I was unable to use it in my recent oil change because Walmart was out of it. I bought M1 10w40 High Mileage, which I didn't find out until later has lower viscosity than ECF.

Looks good. Did you notice any engine running differences with the higher vis oil?

Did you see any change in the mpg using 5w40? I’d also like to hear about your mpg with the 10w40 M1 HM. Looks like the heavier oil is working well.

Here is a plot of my fuel economy versus date. I ran the 5w40 ECF from June 28 to August 13.

Sadly, it seems that my fuel economy is steadily dropping. Now I'm depressed.
