Hi all,

Replacing the rear wheel bearings and backing Plates on my fiancé’s 13 Tundra. Figured it would be a good time to change the diff oil too, it has about 60k on it.

When I drained it the first time I used an oil that had additive already in it. The oil I have on hand to use now doesn’t have it and I’m wondering if if I have to add any additive to it. There are no stickers on the diff saying to use it.

I did a bit of research and see that some of these trucks use an electronic LSD and doesn’t require it but I haven’t seen anything definite.

When I jack up the rear and spin the drivers side tire forward the passenger tire spins the opposite way, if that matters.

Thanks!
