Vehicle has about 118k miles. 4.6l v8 I’ve 2 drain and fills with AMSOIL atf fuel efficient due to its protection and full synthetics. The first one involved dropping the pan replacing the filter After getting a feel for how it drives it doesn’t feel like like the oem feel before I started the drain and fill and kinda rethinking if I should’ve went with the WS. Nothing else is wrong could be overthinking it. The question is would it be ok to do a few more drain and fills with the WS to get the AMSOIL mostly out or should I just ride out the AMSOIL atf till the next interval?

Did you clear the transmission adaptations. If not you're gonna have slight issues though it will go away with time. Those 6 speeds aren't picky and that amsoil is compatible. It is the same viscosity at WS. Even if you switch to WS you would have still have odd shifts if the adaptations aren't cleared. I don't know if unplugging the battery overnight still works on newer vehicles like on older ones but it doesn't hurt to try.

I would ride it out. My 06 tundra and 2014 Lexus GS lived very healthy lives on amsoil, and the tundra towed heavy. For friends cars I’ll often use valvoline maxlife. I would drive yours for a while and let it relearn.

How is it driving? Do you think you got the fluid level right? Does it make any strange noises or shifts?
