I have been reading this forum off and on for a few years. This is my first UOA. The reason for the UOA is because I need to drive from coast to coast next month and wanted to see how short trips over the winter affected the oil. This is the FF on a 2012 Volvo XC70 3.2. Sample was taken after a 30 minute highway drive. The oil was in use over the winter and the car sees mainly short trips (less than 2 miles). I am surprised by the iron (lower than I expected) and lead/silicon (higher than I expected). If something isn't listed it wasn't tested or it was zero. I have not changed the oil/filter yet but based on some of the levels in this UOA I will probably do it tonight. Comments welcome.
I am assuming that this oil is the factory fill.

Oil Analyzers' comments: Check air induction system (filters, housings, air intake, etc) for source of abrasives (dirt). Abrasives are at a SEVER LEVEL. Suggest flushing system; LEAD is at a MODERATE LEVEL and may be OVERLAY METAL from MAIN/ROD BEARINGS; FUEL DILUTION has caused viscosity to decrease moderately; FUEL DILUTION is at a MINOR LEVEL; FUEL DILUTION possibly caused by excessive idling; Manganese sources in engines include manganese/bronze valve guides and/or fuel additive; Resample at half interval.
