Hello - So my dad has just hit 8000 KM and as per the dealer and the owner's manual it's time for an oil change. (I inquired and they told both of us that OEM fill is a very special oil and not to drain it before 8000KM - since i wanted to do it at 3000KM to get rid of the broken in steel particles)
He likes to go to is private mechanic and wants to keep going there, i know that we need to save receipts and log down mileage in the back of the manual to keep the warranty people happy.
Question, is it worth it to go Synthetic ? for only 8000 KM ? the manual says 5W-20 or 0W-20 (with emphasis on 0W-20 for winters)for the 4Cyl model. i am thinking dyno until he gets out of warranty in 4-5 years...
