"Does Toyota carry a 5w-30 too? thanks" I am pretty sure they do. My former toyota prius was using OEM 5w30 about 2 years ago and had that serviced by them ... NOW that is probably not synthetic though !!! This car "requires" 0w20 ... to help with mpg and CAFE ...

Nice report and thanks for posting. How long time wise was the oil change interval? Did you install the oil yourself or did the dealer?

Slightly less than 5 months (4.5) I drive 1.2K a month (almost only to work) I drive "gently" only my wife gets over 3750 rpm ... :-) I have Toyota Care (I know stupid) but it was also financed at the time and re-financed later by credit union so I think it is OK. So dealer does all from their drum ... Thanks for your comment it is very encouraging that people can comment on the result. My only question is that the Molibdenium higher than most of the other report ... this must be specific to either synthetic or maybe the toyota brand.

No TBN...no idea what amount of detergency was left. 370F flashpoint, that is probably a lot of fuel since Blackstone's method of testing for fuel dilution is not the most accurate. This report has me on the fence. I am not sure if I am convinced that the oil can truly go 10k. I have been doing 5k intervals on mine so far.

370 is the first report with the first fill before the new 10,000 and 0x20 was officially announced !!! I got a new maintanace book !!! I got my 2010 in July 2009 !!! the flashpoint for the 10k oil was 395 if that makes any difference .... the column in the bottom a little twisted...

At 6244K, our flashpoint with the Toyota 0w20 SM was 395 with fuel at <0.5. TBN was 4.4 with TAN at 3.6.

6244K ??? this is confusing ... do you mean 62.44K meaning 62440 mile ??? or 6244 kilometer which is about 5000 miles ....

Six thousand two hundred and forty four MILES. We took a sample of the oil at that mileage and had it tested.

Yes the high moly level is specific to the SM GF-4 Toyota Brand 0W-20. The latest SN GF-5 formulation the Toyota 0W-20 has reduced the moly level to 125 ppm. The only other non-specialty oil with very high moly levels is the Idemitsu SM GF-4 0W-20 made for Subaru, Mazda and Honda Canada. BTW, the second column I presume was the factory fill for your car?

Looking good for 10,000 miles. Definitely chip in for the TBN count next time to see how much life is left in the oil. You might be able to run it longer and save money over the coarse of ownership.
