2010 Honda Accord Strut Recommendations

While I normally recommend KYB replacement struts for most Honda applications, I also acknowledge that they can be 10-20% stiffer than OEM struts. In addition, several BITOG members have recently experienced ride height/quality issues with KYB's Strut Plus assemblies. Just two months ago, I replaced struts on a 2011 Toyota Camry with Gabriel Ultra ReadyMount strut assemblies sourced from RockAuto. I was pleasantly surprised that the height and ride quality were equivalent to Toyota OEM.

Rock auto shows sachs, Gabriel ultra, kyb and Monroe oespectrum.

I would avoid Monroe. Gabriel ultra used to at least by well-liked. If sachs made the sachs shock they would be my very first choice. Kyb generally has good quality and really good valving, potentially more advanced valving than oem, but at a cost of usually being 15% more firm (progressively tuned) until you hit something big where they totally open up and youve magically not lost your teeth on that bump.
