Looks pretty good but seems thin for a 5w30. 9.0 cSt is just edging into a 20 weight category. I like a nice solid 10.5 cSt 30 weight. I would go with a high mileage oil that is thicker off the shelf, or throw one qt of 10w40 in to the mix. That PP I think is a bit on the thin side from the get go.

As with your other UOA, where's the Pb?

If you're going to OCI at such short intervals (this vehicle and your other) then syn's are a TOTAL waste of money in your circumstances.

The wear rates and TBN retention are really very bland, and you're not getting anywhere near your ROI for these expenditures. I suspect any decent dino brand could do this well at least.

I dont spend a lot. The jug of PP for this run was $18.21 out the door.

How long ago was that? I haven't seen PP that cheap in a few years.

Everything has to be taken into context. That is certainly a great price; was that a 5qrt or 4qrt jug?
