2008 Nissan Pathfinder has codes P0031 and P1148

Hey guys and girls. Vehicle is a 2008 Nissan Pathfinder 4.0 V6. It has 178,000 plus miles on it. Originally got the code for P0031 Bank 1 Sensor 1. So I replaced the O2 sensor with a new Nissan genuine one and I ended up with another code, P1148- Closed loop control function bank 1. I made sure everything was tight and clicked in place as far as the connector goes. My question is, could it be the connector (on the engine harness) itself that’s bad, or is it the O2 sensor that I bought that is bad? Idle is higher than usual right below 1k and CEL light is on for those 2 codes after clearing. No other symptoms. Thanks.

I’d check the wires first. If I remember correctly some of the Nissan had this problem I think their was a TSB out for it in some of the older ones.

Could also be that you may have to tell the car computer via another computer of course, that you have a NEW sensor in.

I have thought of that too. I think Nissan had a recall or a tsb on it.
