Hi Guys,

My father is getting older and he asked me to takeover maintenance on his 2008 EX35

Car has 170k km

My plan ...

Belt - Dyco/Gates
Thermostat - Beck Arnley
Coolant flush - OE or ??
Idler Pulley - Gates
Spark Plugs - Denso ( Iridium OE )
Serpentine Tennsioner - Gates
Oil Filter - Fram Ultra
Air Filter x 2 - Mahle
PCV - valves x 2 - Beck Arnley
Silicone intake hose x2 - mishimoto ( old ones are rough )
Transmission flush - OE Nissan Matic or Amsoil ATF ?
New Battery
Transfer Case - ATF OE or Amsoil ?
Differential 75w90 Redlinw

Any thoughts what else I should do ... Better worse brands of parts.
Maybe it's to early for pulleys or thermostat ?

Susspension feels good, new tires, exhaust is rough do to snow ...

Thank you

My folks have a 2010 EX35, and I personally wouldn't change all of that stuff unless it needed it. Theirs has more miles than your dad's and everything is still in good shape under the hood.

I would do diff/oil/coolant/filters/plugs and leave everything else unless it's really needed. But that's just me. The vehicle is tight as a drum and well made so I doubt that stuff really needs replaced at that age.

SLcraig sounds good

Belt is squeaky so I will replace it ... But will not touch tensioner or idler.

Thank you

I would do only scheduled maintenance items, such as oil + filters(oil, air, cabin ...), ATF, brake fluid, coolant ...

Wear and tear item should be replaced when needed, other items as needed.

I changed your list. Buy the OE parts from an online OE dealer. B&A parts have taken a turn for the worse, they were almost guaranteed to be reboxed OE at one time.
Now they can be reboxed Uro parts or some other cheap Chinese junk.

Belt - OE/Bando/Dayco/Gates/ my order of preference because of fit, quality is good on all.
Thermostat - OE
Coolant flush - OE
Idler Pulley - OE
Spark Plugs - Denso Laser Iridium ( Iridium OE )
Serpentine Tennsioner - OE
Oil Filter - Fram Ultra
Air Filter x 2 - Mahle or Fram, Wix
PCV - valves x 2 - OE
Silicone intake hose x2 - ( old mishimoto ones are rough )
Transmission flush - Amsoil ATF
New Battery
Transfer Case - Amsoil
Differential 75w90 Amsoil/Mobil 1
