I'm with 440, if the bearings don't have copper (like the Ford Modular bearings) then I wouldn't be concerned at all.

I'm near the end of a 1 year, 9Kish OCI with RP 5w-20 and a RP filter. I might change it tomorrow now cause of this.............Dang it!

Well HEMI, you did it. You scared me right into my garage, loaded with 4.5qts of Castrol Edge 5w-20, Fram XG 3614 filter, and Castrol Import Multi-Vehicle ATF.

I drained the RP 5w-20, at 10 months and around 7,300 miles. I sampled the oil and will send it off in a couple of weeks. I just lost confidence in the RP.........Plus, BP might need the extra cash.

If there's not enough anti-oxidants in the blend the moly can scrub Cu from wherever it is. Red Line used to play havoc with some engines for an OCI or two. I think that was before they went toward street compatible oils.
