Hi everyone. I have been trying to find a parasitic battery draining problem on a 2008 Acura TL.
Someone else has already tried to find what's draining the battery on this vehicle and could not find it.
I found that removing a 7.5 Amp fuse labeled rear, in the under dash fuse box will sometimes cause the constant draw of around 0.66 Amps to drop to a normal amount of 0.012 to 0.062 Amps. But when that fuse is out, many things will not work.
I have tried unplugged the voice recognition module in the top center by the rear view mirror, the backup camera, the in trunk DVD CD player, and every electrical connector in all 4 doors.
The only thing I know of that might be causing this problem that I have not yet unplugged is the sun sensor on the dash near the front windshield. In front of where the glovebox is. And that is going to be a bear to get to, if we try disconnecting that.
Are there any other items that are common causes for draining the battery on 2008 Acura TL vehicles?
Unfortunately the few schematics I can find do not give a clear breakdown about everything that 7.5 amp powers.
