Per the title of this thread, the parking brake light on our 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan had not worked since we got the van in March, and the daytime running-lights (DRLs) would not turn off as they're supposed to when the parking brake is applied.
Even though it's beastly hot out today (although I'm sure our 34 C does not compare with what some of you have seen over the last few days), I thought I'd crawl under the dash and see if I could find anything obvious.
Murphy's Law was temporarily repealed - I quickly saw a connector hanging in midair with only one wire running to it. Groped around and found what could have been a terminal on the parking brake mechanism. Pushed the connector onto the maybe-terminal, and tested things. Voila, when the parking brake is applied, the DRLs now go out and the brake warning light comes on.
Much easier than I'd thought it would be - I wish they all went like this.
