I am looking up fluids for Dad's 2006 Sportsman. Is the rear diff/transmission one unit on these? I am only showing a fluid for the trans on this model on a few different sites.

Thanks.

I've found that a lot of these use the same fluid in both units, often a basic 10w-30 although it does vary by manufacturer.

Not motor oil used in Polaris rear diff or transmissions. They use a gear lube.......

Polaris machines we have;
2018 RZR XP1000 EPS
2018 RZR S 900 EPS
2016 RZR 900 EPS
2016 Sportsman 850

You have 4 fluids in that sportsman.
Front Diff Demand Drive Fluid
Rear Diff Angle Drive Fluid
Transmission AGL
Engine

Here is the kit to do the fluids just for piece of mind https://atv.polaris.com/en-us/shop/maintenance/lubricants/2880425/

If you dont like Polaris Fluids you can use 75w90 in the Rear Diff and Transmission. Some people even use synthetic 5w20 in the transmission.

On the front diff you can use Synthetic ATF but i always use Demand Drive just for piece of mind.
