Gang,
Here is 3rd UOA on my Azera. This car sees short trips and the fuel (usually) wreaks havoc on the oil. I reduced the OCI to 4K, 6 months to see how it would fare and it seems to be doing better. Since it is seeing relatively short OCIs, I replaced the QSUD with Formula Shell 5W-20 SN.
Blackstone comments follow and thoughts always welcome:
This engine has been wearing nicely ever since we first saw it last year. This is the shortest oil run we've seen so far so it would make sense that wear is lower and that's largely what we have. These low metals show no obvious problems on the horizon. Silicon is still higher than normal, but we didn't highlight it this time. It doesn't seem to be abrasive dirt since wear is so low, so we're betting it's a harmless sealant or additive of some sort. The trace of fuel from last time disappeared and low insolubles show good oil filtration. This is a nice Hyundai at 72,596 miles.
