2005 LLY Duramax - 230k Miles - 7k miles on oil

28k miles since head gasket and upper end rebuild. Oil has been changed at least 3 times since then. Mobil Delvac ESP 5w-40 with XG9100 filter, 7k miles on this oil change for both oil and filter.

Disregard them calling it a Cummins. It's not, I double checked.

Probably some of the best wear metals I've ever seen on a Duramax diesel oil report.

Completely expected wear rates, and that's a good thing.

If you intend to OFCI at or less than the IOLM, then ditch the expensive syns and just use any decent HDEO. You'll get the same wear for less investment.

I typically get the synth oils on sale, like the last T6 sale and rebate I posted where it costs around $25 for an oil change in the end. I also like the cold starting 5w-40 gives in the middle of winter. Hard to find non-synth 5w-40 in my area (if there is such a thing?).

Currently 1000 miles on new oil, still yet to turn black. The XG filter and blocked EGR keep the oil clean for a while. Usually starts darkening around 2000-2500 miles. I'll try going 10k on this change.
