Hi all. I have a 2004 Honda Pilot with 165,000 miles on it. When traveling on the expressway, at 50 mph and up, there is a rhythmic loud clunking when accelerating that goes away when you lift your foot and restarts when you accelerate again. There are no other noises when turning etc. It isn't a tire noise since they have been checked. There is no noise at slow to medium speeds at all. It sounds like the sound that older cars with a drive shaft would make when the u-joints were shot. Maybe the drive shafts? Any suggestions?

You'll need to get it up on a lift to know anything. Every thing else is just guessing.

Could be as simple as a bad trans or engine mount. This might also do better in the right forum.
