What would You use in a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0 with 93,500 miles? 6 quarts of GC(2007 thru 2012 era) or Castrol EDGE 10w-30? Oil filter that will be used is a FRAM Ultra. Will remain in sump until spring, with winter temps occasionaly dipping to 0 degrees. Current fill is Castrol EDGE 10w-30, have Large stash of GC, would have to drive 50 miles to Chelan WalMart for EDGE 10w-30. Wenatchee WallyWorld dosent have 10w-30 anymore.

The GC is a great choice for that engine IMO. It is on the thick side of 30 grade, and is also high in ZDDP, great base stocks and cold start properties what is not to like?

I ran it last winter for about 6k in my 4.0 no complaints at all.

Another vote for the GC. 10w is fine for summer, and I ran 0w30 year round in my '04.
