Bought a wrx base model with 6sp manual and sti shifter in June. I'm 70, not typical wrx guy. Love the car. Enough power and incredible handling. Finally got rain in Texas. I mashed on it this morning in the wet. No spin. Just pulled straight and true.

Post on the Subaru forum for all those kids that get CVT and think they are "cool."

Enjoy. I had the 2002 WRX wagon which was first year. I imagine they smoothed out power delivery for 2022. It was tepid or huge boost in 2002.

Yeah, I believe pretty recently they smoothed out when the boost comes on
Prior, really, you'd need a tune... not so much for power but to smooth out the throttle response so you could drive it more smoothly... At least that's what I heard talk of...

Excellent!

I really liked my 2016 - especially on a winding, swooping, crooked, mountain road!

Enjoy!

Mind sharing what you paid?

My 2016 MSRP was $28,000 and I got it for $25,500.

My price with a couple after market option packages like sti shifter, weathertechs etc was 32600. Sewell Subaru in Dallas. I never went to the dealer until I picked it up.
