The 4x4 is not working on my daughter's S-10 Blazer. The 4x4 switch doesn't light up. I've replaced the switch and checked the fuse? What else should I check?
So many things to chase on the Blazer 4x4. Start with vacuum lines to the reservoir under the battery. I chased this problem oh 3 or 4...hundred times on mine. It's working today knock on wood.
Chased a similar problem many years ago and after setting vehicle on jack stands found it was actually going into 4wd but not setting light on. Ultimately it was a poor connection.
Of course being electric, the system has one or more fuses. The motor assembly or broken wires / bad connections under the truck are the most likely problems since those parts are out in the environment. There's also a control module involved. The dashboard switch itself is just about never the problem.

The dashboard switch has been the issue for me twice, but that's just my experience. There's a whole lot of other things that have gone wrong with it too.
