This is an oil analysis for our 2002 Santa Fe with a 2.7L V6. Did not change the oil but only took a sample after 5603 miles. Using Rotella T5 10w-30 and a Bosch Plus filter. Vehicle has 231,484 miles on it and uses no oil. We bought it as a winter vehicle for my wife with about 225,000 on it.

I thought it was real good other than the Sodium seemed kinda high. WearCheck did the analysis and they didn't mention anything about it being high so I'm not going to worry about it too much I guess.

Was there any Valvoline/ashland or Napa etc oil used in it before, they and some other oils have sodium as an additive and could be from the previous fill, just my guess.

My guess too... I ran Castrol for quite a while and residual sodium is still showing up in UOA's 4 OCI's later.

I ran the oil that came with it for a year and then used the T5. I wouldn't doubt they used Napa oil in it previously.
