2001 Pontiak Aztek Amsoil trans fluid

The Amsoil application shows both the ATF and the ATL fluids for this vehicle. Is one preferred?

I have not had a chance to see the vehicle in person to look in the manual and read the dipstick.

Opinions are appreciated.......... 2001 with front wheel drive.

Which they apparently both meet. I want to use the optimum fluid which I believe is the ATL......though I'm not totally sure of that.
I guess the ATL is supposed to be more fuel efficient.

Either Amsoil product will work great. I would use the ATL.

GM recommends their new Dexron-VI in all Hydramatic transmissions including older ones like yours. Dexron-III was the original spec fluid. Amsoil's ATF is recommended to replace Dexron-III and their ATL is recommended to replace Dexron-VI.
