Once again I checked out the local widow’s lawnmower. Her husband was a LEO. Her kids turned out pretty usless when it comes to yard work. They have an old POS single wide mobile home as a cottage.
I put in a knock-off carb and plate last year. The plate has the red bulb you pump to blow air past the jets to get gas to feed by venturi effect. It stopped working and I understand they had a rep for it. Grant you, the gas is a year old the but there is a couple of gallons of it. I already have too much old gas. The oil is still clean from the oil change I did a few years ago.
To the rescue is a can of starter fluid. It starts instantly and with a few more shots directed at the air intake of the air cleaner the engine catches and runs fine. I’ll take bullet for the team and cut her foot-long grass just for the Karma.
Next time I see those kids, now in their late twenties, I’ll pick out one of brighter ones and try teach him what a lawn mower is.
