2000 Cavalier 2.2 engine porn

Ecotec was used in the 2002-2005 models as the only engine. The 1995-2002 models had either the 2.2 OHVC (which I've heard great things about) or 2.4 Quad 4 (which I've heard less-than-great things about) engines, and a 4-speed tranny was an option for all of them.

Different, I suspect. The "Iron Duke" was half a Pontiac V-8 (as was the original Tempest 4-cylinder, years earlier).

Maybe in the cars, but the small trucks, eh, they were a little too stressed. 0-60 is measured in minutes in my truck. Merging on the highway the other day I think it took a mile to get to 80. In flatlands I'm sure there would be no problems, but in my mountainous region it takes some tricky shifting. Can't complain it starts every time even if it has sat a month. The flex pipe has let loose on mine so it sounds like a dang pumpwood truck going down the road.
