Meh, the interstate was closed. I'd be more surprised if a C7 couldn't crack 200 without much effort.
This is more underground and interesting. M5, on public roads, Gumballing by a pretty well know team, with gear, people in it, and miles on it. It will do 180 until the road runs out or the fuel runs out. That's a slow car as well, he traded it for the Bentley GT Speed which was faster.
This years Gumball should bring out a C7 for a proper test, I suspect it will do well.

Sorry, but I have no respect for those who race on public roads. Race on the track, or closed course all you want. Everyone there understands the danger, and has taken all the necessary safety measures.
But to drive that fast on public roads, where people are traveling at much slower speeds, not anticipating such extreme speed differences, you are endangering way too many people, that did not bargain for that level of risk, when they buckled up their young family that morning.
