2 types of Castrol Edge Gold bottle at AA

I was looking at Edge Gold 0w20 at AA and realized that some of the bottles are the newer "EDGE Extended Performance" and some are the older "EDGE with Titanium Fluid Strength Technology". Both are SN.

The newer bottle mentions "Guaranteed Protection up to 15000 miles" while the older one does not.

Is the oil inside the same or did the formula change with the new bottle?

If the UPC codes are the same, it's probably the same oil.

I think they were the same.....probably the same oil in a newer container.

I remember somebody on this site saying that QSUD changed their formula when they went from the clear bottle to the gold one but I'm not sure if that's true.

QSUD went from clear to gold bottles but the UPC stayed the same, at least in my stash of 5w-30.
