2.2L Toyota Camry Owners...

Hello,

It is no problem to use an Iridium Power spark plug with just one ground electrode.
We have very good results with Iridium Power in a Toyota Camry 2.2L. The only thing you have to do is to readjust the gap of the Iridium Power spark plugs from 1.1mm to 0.8mm.

The correct Iridium Power spark plug for the Camry 2.2L is the IK20.
The required voltage with an Iridium Power is normally lower than with other spark plugs (due to the 0.4mm center electrode) but due to the DLI system this will be larger than K20TR11(OE) or PK20TR11(OE ). DLI required voltage at plus cylinder is usually large. This could cause a misfire with 1.1mm gap.

When installing IK20 with 0.8mm gap this will increase the performance of the engine and give an optimum throttle response.

Sounds like you have been talking to somebody. Who told you about the re-gapping? My Denso Iridiums went in my 98 Camry about 2K miles ago. No problems to speak of. In fact the information that I received said not to gap them.

Sounds like I might have to adjust them depending on your source.

Denso Europe.I am sorry i forgot to write it.Is your camry got dissy less ignition system? If yes then you have to if no then leave it as it is.Mine got a dissy less ignition system.Are you using denso IK20 in yours?
