The 1st 2 Condors to fly over Northern California in over a century are scheduled be released Tuesday morning...At 8 a.m. on Tuesday, May 3, the Yurok Tribe and Redwood National and State Parks will facilitate the release of the first two California condors to take flight in the center of the bird’s former range since 1892.
The California Condor became extinct in the wild in 1987 when all remaining wild individuals were captured.
These are amazing birds with a 9' wingspan.
