I’m planning on having some front suspension work done on my old Ford Focus wagon. 1A auto seems to have/recommend a line of aftermarket parts that they call TORQ. They offer some suspension kits which seem like reasonable pricing. They also have a line they call “ famous brand “ which I’m skeptical of. Does anyone here have any experience with 1A auto or the above mentioned brands?

TRQ. It's mostly just bottom barrel import stuff. Probably "fine" but nothing to write home about.
On RA the "Famous" brand is all closeout stuff from when CQ/Advance abandoned the left coast. If it's the same, the supply will eventually dry up.

They have well produced repair videos which are quite helpful for the DIY'er. However, the few TRQ branded items I purchased from 1A Auto were just your generic white box Chinese produced parts exactly like house brand parts you would find at AutoZone or Advance Auto. You would get more bang for the buck ordering a "known" brand from Rockauto, Summit or even Amazon.
Also if you watch their vids they are the biggest offender of having you remove WAY (WAY WAY) too much stuff for many jobs. Always seek a second opinion.

I have used a bunch of trq stuff from 1a auto for brakes and suspension. It has all worked well for me and has lasted considerably better than my last set of mevotech suspension parts.
I put a set of TRQ liftgate supports on my wife's 2014 Nissan Rogue last year. No local parts store even carried the parts I needed and the Nissan dealer price was over $200.00 each. 1AAuto had the best price, $60.00 shipped for the pair. The supports were made in Turkey and are still working fine now. I also had to replace a cracked tail light housing on her car about 8 years ago, I got the new tail light from 1A, I remember it cost about $25.00 shipped, it might have been made in China, I don't know but it looks exactly the same as OEM and we have not had any problems with it. I have watched some of the videos on the 1A website, they seem to be very helpful. I have had no trouble at all with 1A or their parts.
Same as local auto parts store for way less. I put a pair of their calipers on my 09 Altima about 100k ago and they’re still doing their job.. I wouldn’t buy their wheel bearings or cv shafts, but a lot of their stuff is just fine when OEM isn’t in the budget. Most shops are using the same quality parts on their customers cars everyday.
