This is from my girlfriend's 1997 Honda Civic HX with the D16Y5 (California fuel efficiency engine)

The car gets short tripped and tracks about ~1,000 miles a year. This is from this year's change and I wanted to get a UOA to check on wear metals and TBN to see how much farther we could go.

The initial report I received appeared to be incorrect, so I contacted the lab and they were able to re-run the sample and sent me back the attached report this morning.

Kirkland 5w-30 and Wix 51334 out, Kirkland 5w-30 and Fram XG3593a in.

A thousand miles of short trips in a YEAR?! 😳😧😬 wow. Interesting usage.

I also vote to go longer. I think the civic and the oil can handle it.

Working from home and online classes has significantly reduced our driving habits. I used to drive 12,000 miles per year and now I'm down to 3,000. We run the majority of errands in my car, but she still helps with a special needs family member and runs errands for her mom.
