1992 Johnson 4 HP

That zinc anode is replacable. If saltwater use is intended you should do so now, it's quite pitted.
 
Ok back to the original anode... i took it off... its just got surface corrosion., pitting is almost non existent..
Can it not be re-polished to a clean surface..??
 
Yesterday... got some gaz in the tank... 2 pulls and it sputtered... a few more squeezes on the primer bulb... BURP..!! and GO..!!
nice little 15 mins test run with the Mrs... runs real sweet...
Canada day week-end.. may get a few more minutes on the clock with the in-laws.. LOL ;) unless the family wants the 9.9 instead..

Now for the 2 hp... this is still a challenger..

Very exciting. Check to see the water is exiting well, and you are good to go. Don't think I would put any mmo in there. Maybe a tiny bit of techron.
