Ran an errand took a small detour and stopped by this very small specialty car dealer and this was newly arrived from an estate.... A "Widowmaker". One owner, sub 50K mile 1979 930, 4 speed. Absolutely as original as it could be down to its Blaupunkt cassette radio, new but period correct Pirelli Cinturato P7's and original dot matrix printed window sticker. Absolute true time warp.

Good grief, it is even in my favorite color, I was awestruck. The car has some curb rash and scuffs, but otherwise fine with no bodywork.

It just hit the market and though it wasn't advertised, it will probably be gone by the time I head back over just for fun, but this just isn't in the cards for us now....no way, no how.

Gottta go, hosting an auction on the dark web for a kidney:ROFLMAO:

Awesome. When I was a kid we used to look at the 930 as the pinnacle of sports cars. I had a friend who when he graduated from graduate school got a great job in California with Anheuser-Busch. He could work on the bottling line any time he wanted for extra money, and being single he did that a lot. He bought a '79 930 with the extra money and I was able to drive it once. It was like the fulfilment of every teenage car dream I ever had :)

Looks like Gemini Blue. Awesome color. I used to have one that was Oak Green Metallic. It’s a handful- but fun to drive. More 930’s leave the road backwards than you can imagine. Nice car.

Beautiful car and uncommon color. In 1983 I was coming home from work when my friend and I saw one on the highway in my 1980 L82 Corvette. I thought it was a regular 911 as I wasn't aware of this model as it was way above what I could afford. My friend owned a 1979 450 SEL 6.9 which was quite a car itself. Needless to say all I saw was tail lights.
