Is that an International Harvester label on the back?
Did IH make the CC?

Yep! Now sadly Cub is just another MTD product.

IHC sold Cub Cadet to MTD in 1981. MTD continued to manufacture some of the heavy duty IHC Cub Cadet models for a few years while cheapening them up and gradually mixing-in the lower end consumer grade products, and then phasing out the old IHC line entirely.
That 62 narrow frame IHC is really a shrunken Farmall tractor, built to work hard and last. Nothing manufactured today can come close.

Kind of the same thing when Toro bought the Wheel Horse brand. Slowly degraded them to nothing more than a riding mower.

Until my Dad got his Kubota BX25, he did all of his mowing and plowing with his Cub 129. This winter pic was taken about halfway up the driveway. That little Cub did this every winter.

I had a cookout last night and we had a few couples bring their little ones .... So I was giving tractor rides. It was a good excuse to get it out of the garage
