The back and white leads are the power leads. What are the other leads for - yellow, green, red and orange?
Some possibilities - start or run capacitors? Not likely
Multi speed taps?
To change over to a shunt wound configuration?

On the cover you removed OR on the outside frame sticker youll usually find a diagram with all the wired configurations listed. Usually it is Voltage, 110/220, speeds or rotational direction. Wire-nut the correct wires for your application. If its a Chinese motor with no diagrams good luck.
