Not sure where to categorize this but is the full synthetic “Marine Motor Oil” I occasionally encounter on super clearance have any benefits for an older Gas car/truck that sometimes sits outside an extended period?

Manual doesn’t need any better than SL and this stuff meets SM (yellow jugs not grey). 10w30 works, 25w40 would probably be good stuff for the rider oil burner and the truck oil burner.

Anything actually special about marine?

4-cycle Marine oils have more of these chemical compounds in the DI package: rust preventives, metal deactivators, and demulsifiers. There would be no real advantage for a land engine that's run periodically. It might be useful for storage of engines.

Got some of this stuff again for $1.50 qt

One change worth of 10w30 and one change worth of 25w40 full synthetic.

What temperature range is 25w40 good for in a 5.2 gas pickup
(it’s not listed, HD30 is 32F+, guessing this stuff 25F?)

Truck rarely runs in cold weather so it may work as a spring/summer oil.

Would def work well as a spring summer oil; and being full synthetic is probably good to much colder temp than you would expect.
