10w30 - 15w40 Mix

Well as the title says I did a little mixing while changing the oil in my chinese honda clone generator. I had roughly 400mL of Rotella 15w40 and finished the fill with roughly 200mL of Havoline 10w30. Will this be ok? I will be changing the oil at least every 25 hours, but the unit may run 12 hours at a time in 90 degree weather. Is this ok or should I just go ahead and refill with Delo 15w40?

You'd be fine... last fill on the old 12 horse I/C briggs was one quart of napa 10w30 with a gob of valvoline maxlife oil treatment I had left, and a half a quart I had left of 10w30 pennzoil high mileage...

Your mix should be fine, I wouldn't hesitate to use it in any of my 4 cycle outdoor power equipment. Considering your location I would recomend all 15w40 for the next change. Good Luck.
