What happened to common sense law enforcement discretion? Or are these revenue generating shake-downs? At least the plaintiffs sensibly cooperated with the officers or they would have likely detained-arrested him and sent the daughter to child protective services. They could have asked them to kindly desist and not do it on Park grounds. It is not like she was peddling booze are narcotics.

Did anyone hear the 21-day sentence for contempt of court yawning? I think in both cases law enforcers need to study the concept of marginal social cost. Going after these things are just not worth it ... esp busting young lemonade entrepreneurs!

That's just wrong.

Usually lemonade stands turn out much better. When my neighbor's street was turned into a parking lot due to highway construction this summer, she and her two boys opened a stand and took in over $1000 in a couple of weeks not counting the money she paid other kids for helping out. She donated the money toward the new playground at the local pre-school.

This is how to run a lemonade stand!
