Yep, its my fridge water filter.

Found some interesting specs on it while ordering a new one. Thought some of you guys would enjoy this:

GE MWF Filter Operating Parameters:

Temp. Range: 33-100 F
Micron Rating: 0.5-1 micron (Class I)
Pressure Range: 40-120 PSI
Flow Rate: 0.5 GPM at 60 PSI
Filter Media: Carbon block
Filter Life: Approximately 6 months

Just changed ours out on a Samsung. It says every 6 months, but also stated capacity was 300 gallons.

The fridge is about 3 years old and I generally use a quart or two a day from it. It was just last week that the water didnt taste right. It was kind of bitter, or just basically tasted like tap water.

Purge the new filter and smooth as ever.

$46 though. Too bad Purolator doesn't make a Platinum Plus for $3.49.
