1/3 quart low?

Is 1/3 a quart low every 3,000 miles anything to worry about? I went almost 6,000 miles and i was only 2/3 a quart low. i'm using mobil 1 5/30 should i switch to a high mileage dino oil? I have 88,000 miles.

Thats actually very good. I go through 1qt every 3k miles, sometimes more depending on driving. I'm trying to eliminate this problem but havn't found an oil that will do it.

If that's in an Eagle Talon TSI turbo, that's insanely low oil consumption!

its a 1997 jeep grand cherokee. 5.2L v8 (318). These the last 28,000 miles have been HARD, taken to the drag strip nearly a dozen times, headers, chip, intake, exhaust, throttle body, etc. Lots of stop and go driving. now it see's alot of commuting an 75-80mph, runs great.

If it bothers you move up to a 15W-40 and consumption should go down
