For a diesel, Mobil 1 for Turbo Diesel Trucks (also known as Delvac 1) 5w-40 is the appropriate Mobil 1 choice. The Truck & SUV oil and 0w-40 is for gasoline engines. Last edited: Jan 28, 2008

It's a darn good engine; used in many different tunes from truck to 'Vette. I would suspect that a good 5w-30 would be a much better choice than a 0w-40. Use M1 if you want, or any decent recognized brand name.
