0W oil is a waste

I like that many of the people saying it a waste are the same people that mention plugging in their engine heater. Guess what, it doesn't matter if the air is at -40C if your engine is at -4C.

You would have to disassemble the engine and measure wear on all components.

Or maybe you could just see which engine lasts longer based on how many miles the car was driven.
 
I like Mobil 1 0W30 when its cold. I've used Mobil 1 5W30 as well. The owners manual for the Chevy 4.8 V8 says its recommended when its cold to use the 0W30.

AMEN ....... it's like people who put cheap (non top tier) gas in their cars to save 2 cents a gallon. Absolutely no perspective. WOW.
